If my Laptop or PDA is accidentally damaged, how do I get it repaired?
Advise CUSC by telephone, on FREEPHONE 0800 980 1980, who will arrange for your Laptop or PDA to be collected and promptly delivered to an authorised repair centre.
What if it cannot be repaired?
If your Laptop or PDA cannot be repaired, it will be replaced with a new Laptop or PDA of the same make and with a specification at least equal to the item insured.
If my laptop is stolen, how do I go about making a claim?
The theft must be reported to the police within 24 hours and a crime reference number obtained. A claim form should be obtained from CUSC by telephoning FREEPHONE 0800 980 1980.
What is the maximum value covered?
LapGuard has a maximum value of £4,000 for Laptop insurance and £800 for PDAs
Can I take my Laptop or PDA abroad and still be covered?
Yes, LapGuard is valid worldwide and you may therefore take your Laptop or PDA with you when you travel abroad.
Can I leave my Laptop or PDA unattended in my car?
Yes, but only if secured in the locked boot of the car. If your car does not have a boot, see Terms and Conditions.
Is there any excess payable when making a claim?
No. However, if as a concession, payments are accepted on a monthly basis, then the annual balance must be paid in full before a claim can be administered.
Does changing or upgrading my Laptop or PDA affect the cover?
No, you may change or upgrade your Laptop or PDA, but must notify us of the make, model and value, and it will then be covered under CUSC LapGuard, but remember that the maximum cover is dictated by the premium you are paying.

The Underwriters for the CUSC FoneGuard Policy are AXA/Amtrust International, who are one of the leading Laptop Underwriters.
Is CUSC FSA regulated?
Yes CUSC is authorised by the FSA to advise and broker insurance cover for laptops / PDA's. Our registration number is 313851.

Can I cancel my new policy?
Yes, on receipt of the terms and conditions, you will have 14 days to decide if the policy wording meets with your requirements.
